The Rule can't recognize the From status when I add the Hidden condition or the member of any group condition.

Hi Phil,

You should know by now to include the rule when you post.  :-)

Can you please share and exactly where the issue is?

1) Please forgive; I posted from my phone at my bedside around 3 am.

2) After preparing screenshots of everything, I added the Hidden condition, confirmed the transition is hidden in the issue view, and this time the automation had no error.  It's a miracle! (or, if you prefer: Go figure!)

I found out today that the combination of a field value condition and the Hide from user condition causes the automation error UNLESS there is another transition with the same From and To statuses that doesn't have the Hide from user condition.  (I added that other transition for a reason not related to the automation error.)

In fact, I already had another transition in place with the same From and To statuses, with the any group condition (with a group that I'm in selected) , but not the Hide from user condition, and the error occurred when those were the only two transitions, before I added the third.  I'm sure the automation action couldn't fire with me the only user allowed for the second transition.

I'll post the automation branch and log section with the error when I have time. :-)

Thanks for the info, Phil. I think you should go ahead and write up the use case(s) for the error and submit a ticket to Atlassian to review and hopefully, fix. Glad you got it figured out and thanks again for providing what you actually had to do to make it work.
