Hello Community Members
I am using Jira DC 8.13.17 and for the first time installed Automation for Jira latest ver 8.0.0
Created a simple manual trigger flow but for some reason can't see the 'Automation' tab/field on the issue detail view to trigger it
I also tried going in the 'Get Started' in the manage apps and tried to 'Automate an existing project' but it keeps loading forever, attached is the console log.
is this some Java issue preventing the app to function properly ?
For Jira DC 8.13.17 the latest version of Automation (not the free app, the paid one) is version 8.0.0, so it look ok for version.
Did you already installed Automation before? If so there is a migration process to follow for Automation to be able to upgrade properly to the latest version:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/automation/upgrading-to-automation-for-jira-7-3-or-later-1055951956.html
If you never installed Automation before, I will do a simple thing: try to deinstall the app and then installed it again... check the logs to see if the installation is going well.
If you face a bug again after reinstallation, there is probably a bug in Automation app, and you should report it and ask for support directly to Atlassian: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/?inquiry_category=technical_issues&dummy_product=jira-core&product_key=jira-core
And choose DC > Marketplace apps > Automation app
I hope this helps.
Cheers,
Dam.
Thanks for your reply @[deleted], I have done re-installation and no change at all.
Yes I have opened a case with Atlassian and they have confirmed a bug too, so all good!
