Hello Atlassian community
We want to use Tempo Timesheets for some intercompany billing and need to add information to individual worklogs regarding the service involved and possibly more details.
Instead of creating and maintaining a static list manually, we contemplated about setting up products and services as objects and making the information available as dynamic work attributes in Tempo Timesheets. Has someone already done that and can share some details on how its done, i.e. scripts?
I have already done some research and set up the Tempo synch for Assets but it seems that this is focused on providing more details on Tempo Accounts and integrating those in Jira but I cannot yet see how this might be helpful for our use case. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know.
Many thanks
Nadine
Hi @Nadine Schuett ,
This is not possible, you can only add these types of work attributes to a worklog
As you can see, there is no option for asset fields.
Hello @Rudy Holtkamp
Thanks a lot for the quick response.
I was referring to the Dynamic Drowdown option as described here: https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/270499978/Dynamic+work+attributes+in+Tempo+Timesheets+for+Data+Center
I have just double checked and found that in our current Jira DC 9.4. environment.

Hi @Nadine Schuett ,
I missed the DC part, but with the dynamic field you should be able to use this rest api: https://docs.atlassian.com/assets/REST/10.7.0/#aql-findObjects to retrieve objects.
It will be a puzzle, but should be viable.
