Cascading selection in Assets object attributes

Hi everyone,
In Assets object detail view, i have Category Object attribute and Sub Category Object attribute.
I can see that it is possible to have AQL filter for object type attribute.
Is there a way to refer to the current object in view to filter based on Category attribute value.
Lets say i have 100 sub categories, only 5 of them have parent category as Accumulator.
I would like to filter the sub categories based on the Category selection and display only the 5 sub categories to make it easier to create new objects.
