Copy field value while linking current issue

Hi all,

I want to know how to copy a field value after linking the current issue with an other ( copy the field from the issue that will be linked, to the current issue ). 

To explain more i have the issue A and B, in A i choose link and i choose B, so the field will be copied automatically from B to A.

Hello,

You can not do it out of the box. You need a plugin for it like Power Scripts, ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira.

I do have ScriptRunner, how can i do it with it ?

You should create the "Clones an issue, and links" post function. And then fill the additional section field. If you add the post function, you will see examples on how you can copy a custom field.
