Hello,
I am new to Jira Work Management. I would like to have automation based on Categories. For example,
Choose the Video Conferencing category. will do the following
1. open Epic (with the name that I will give).
2. Open Story (multiple stories)
3. Multiple tasks related to the stories.
Example from Asana
Hello @Roey Miterany
Automation Rules for Jira are triggered by one of three things:
1. manually
2. on a schedule
3. By an event in an issue
For #3 the event has to occur in an existing issue, or it has to be the issue creation event.
So, you have to complete the creation of an issue, say the Epic, with the Category you want. Then your rule can create child Stories in that Epic, and child Subtasks under each Story.
Do you plan to create identical subtasks under each Story, or does each story need to have different subtasks?
Have you started reviewing the Automation documentation to work out how to accomplish your goal?

Thank you for the explanation.
As for your question:
Do you plan to create identical subtasks under each Story, or does each story need to have different subtasks?
The answer is Yes.
