Creating Requests using API and Forms

Hello 👋

we have a use-case, where a customer portal request type is using Forms and fields in it, which deliberately not all of them are forwarded to a customfield.

Of course I found The Forms REST API (atlassian.com) and am aware of the other API documentation, yet I don't know if it could be used that way at all and how it goes together.

Is it possible to create this request also by using an the API for Forms / Jira Service Management and to fill Forms fields but also the other fields?

What could an approach to that look like?
