Custom Field not showing in Statistic Type dropdown when creating Pie/Issue Statistics Widgets

Hello everyone, 

I'm create a dashboard and have been attempting to show a breakdown of issues by a custom field value. While I've tried both Pie and Issue Statistics widgets the custom field is missing from the Statistic Type dropdown. However, several other custom fields are in this list. 

The custom field is only present on a specific Issue type, and is a Yes/No field type. The field is present in the filter I apply to the widget (which only limits the view to that specific Issue Type, without any other filters applied. 

Is there something I'm doing wrong, is the field type causing the issue, am I doing it wrong? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am Marlene, product manager of Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards.

As @Trudy Claspill mentioned, Marketplace apps usually support more custom fields that the native Jira gadgets. 

E.g. our App Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards supports the new custom field "Team", as you can see in the screenshot below.

It is also possible to filter Jira dashboard gadgets dynamically with the Quick Controller gadget, and sum up numerical fields with the statistics gadgets.

I don't see a "Yes/No" field type available when I am trying to create a custom field in my Jira Cloud environment.

Is that the actual field type shown in the Type column in the Custom Fields page?

If so, it is likely a custom field type provided by a third party app, and as such may not be supported in native Jira dashboard gadgets.
