Custom field value to transition status to Waiting for Manager Approval.

Hello I have the current workflow see attached Image:

I would like to add an automation that when a custom field is updated and it compares wether it's higher or not by 40. it automatically transitions to a Managers Approval status or it goes to a in process status. Is this possible within the build in automation tool?

If the trigger is a custom field updated, then you can't use status changed as the trigger. As issue updated is not an available trigger, use comment added and force your workers to add comments when they log hours.

If you can't, then maybe you could add a transition to log hours and use this as a trigger
