Custom field with "ProjectRole"

Hi,

anyone knows if there is a plugin / sample code on how to create a custom field for project roles or a list of project roles ? I want to add fields to a task that should be choosen from the list of project roles.

Would it be possible to create this kind of custom field in a plugin, like

AbstractSingleFieldType<ProjectRole>

or is this a dead end ?

Maybe a behaviour for a text field?

Something like this:
