Custom text field on the portal

I need to have a simple text input field on the portal where customers would leave a text information. How do I add a custom text field to the portal that should not correlate with any field in Jira from agent side?

Hello @Svetlana Kom,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

On the customer portal, customers can’t edit requests after it’s created. The only thing customers can do is to add comments, share the ticket or transition the issues. With this said, even adding a text box to the issue, customers wouldn’t be able to edit the field.

He can't really do that. Any input from the customer needs to be associated with an existing ticket. So the best option would be to use the comment Field.
