Currently I have 1 Kanban board, but is it possible to have multiple views of that board? F.e. management wants a different view of the board (fewer columns), then the team wants to see. Is it possible to have 2 different views of the same kanban board, without every time having to change the board settings and exclude/ include columns?
Thanks!
Hi Jeroen
Yes it is possible. What you need to understand is that a board (Kanban or Scrum) is just a "view" into a project or projects, dictated by the board filter (JQL).
So, your current board may have 8 columns, one for each status in your workflow, whereas management wants only 3 columns. So create another board, using the same filter as your current board, then go to the Board settings for the new board and select Columns. Add / delete / edit the columns and column names, then drag-and-drop the statuses into the correct columns. Make sure that ALL statuses are in columns.
What you now have is the identical data displayed differently.
