Email Notifcation Subscription Issue

Shah Baloch

I created a filter and added mangers in the subscriber's list. It is scheduled every day. The problem is that users are getting different fields in email. I added columns Key, Staus, Summary, Reporter, Start Date, and End Date, however, users are getting notification according to their default columns. How I can lock this one, I mean I want users to see those columns that I selected. How to make that happens? Thankyou

Hello @Shah Baloch

The behavior you're facing is expected in Jira Application. The filter subscription will always send the email with the fields selected by the own subscriber. We have a feature request to change this behavior and allow you to define which fields should be sent in the email:

Filter subscription should take the column disposition defined on 'Filters'

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, you'll need to instruct your team to define the same fields in the "My default" selection if you need them to receive the exact same fields in the email.

Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi @Shah Baloch ,

I believe this other post is similar to your question. It seems that Atlassian support indicated that for filter subscriptions the columns in the report correspond to the user's default columns, not the filter-specific ones, which would explain the behavior you see here. If that's the case, maybe you can ask users to update the columns on their side (at least to verify that this works)?
