Email notifications - how to turn off (per user)

I am receiving to many e-mail. How to turn it off?

Hi Marcin,

if you are the sys admin of jira you can adjust the notification scheme... just limit the events to trigger a notification. (like for example only sent an email as confirmation on creating an issue, when an issue is transitioned to a certain status and when its resolved)
