Emailed issue changes reporter from person that emailed to anonymous

When our system receives an issue via email the inital reporter shows the user that emailed which is what we want but a few seconds later it changes to anonymous and I have to open the ticket to change the reporter back to the user that emailed.

Hi Neil,

  • What does the issue history say about who/what changed the reporter?
  • Do you have an automation rule created that's changing the reporter?
  • Do you have a workflow post-function that's changing the reporter?

Thanks! there was an automation rule I wasn't aware of making this change.
