I’m trying to deal with a lot of duplicate and/or related issues cut for the same individuals.
I’d like to put together an automation that finds all Jiras that mention the customers ID when a new issue is created. Then automation should ideally link all of these issues together so that the individually working it can see if someone else has dealt with the same issue previously.
There is a custom field for the customer ID but I’d also like to pull issues if the customer ID was mentioned in the comments as well.
Any assistance would be appreciated!

What type of field is the custom customer ID field?
What type of values are used for customer ID? Are they letters and/or numbers? Are spaces allowed? Are non-alphanumeric characters allowed? Do they all have the same number of characters?
The possible solutions depend on the type of the field and the type of data it might contain.
