Hello
Does JIRA have some built-in option to get customer's portal dynamically updated
(when comments are added, for example).
Don't want to mess with JAVA and so on for that reason.
That would be a nice feature for my customers.
Unfortunately at this time Jira Service Desk won't force the end user to refresh their browser when an Agent comments or updates an issue. I could see how that might be helpful in some scenarios, but the customer portal does not currently have a way to do this.
I searched on our public bug/feature request tracker at https://jira.atlassian.com/issues/ however I actually did not find any existing requests for this behavior.
In my search on this issue I came across this plugin: Extension for Jira Service Desk
This plugin appears to offer a feature of dynamic forms in the customer portal. Perhaps this existing plugin might be able to meet your needs here. I should note that this plugin only appears to be available for Jira Server at this time and not Jira Cloud.
Regards,
Andy
Thanks for the answer. I've opened the feature request, btw :)

Thanks for letting us know. However the confserver project is actually for our Confluence server product. I have moved that suggestion to the JSDSERVER project instead since this is something Service Desk would handle.

Has the functionality changed in jsd? Can it force a refresh on the customer portal when a comment is added?
