Groovy script to transiiton issue when an issue is commented

Hi,

Is it possible to transition an issue using groovy script when a comment is added to that issue.

Typically, we want to transition a 'Resolved' stage ticket to adequate stages if user comments that his/her reported issue is not yet resolved as a comment

Hi, 

You can use only Automation rule for that. 

Script runner not able to triggrer tansistion status when issue is comment. ou can add script for  condition or validator when you change status change from one transition to another.

Please let me know if any queries on that.

1. where script is used (server/cloud)

2. Did you use script runner?

Scripts are to be used on Jira cloud and yes we use script runner
