Group Picker Field in Customer Portal

Hi Team,

We have a requirement of displaying group picker field be available as drop-down in customer portal for incident module in Jira Service Desk so that the user can select the group to which he wants the incident to be assigned to. 

We are using Data Center Version of JSD. 

Please let us know the possible solution.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Jira Service Desk does not support the displaying of Group Picker custom fields in the customer portal. We created a feature request to consider this possibility in the future releases:

Several custom field types can't be added to a request type 

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround to achieve what you need, you can create a select list custom field (Single choice or multi-choice) and configure its options with your group names.

P.S: The field must be updated every time a new group is created.

Thanks Petter.
I have done the same along with whatever value is selected in the drop-down I have Copied that to the group picker variable in the agent view using Power Script For Jira Plugin.
