How can I change a custom field's value throughout the entire project, including Structures/Filters?

Hello everybody,

My team and I are planning on doing some restructuring of our JIRA environment. To be more specific, we want to change some label names and some Lead Project names.

Unfortunately, whenever I change the name of custom field, regardless of it's nature, even though it applies to all the issues,  it ruins all the JIRA Structures and Filters that used a JQL Query that contained the specific custom field value. I'm talking about thousands of structure and filters that suddenly stop working.

Is there a way to apply the name changing so that it changes everywhere in the structures and filters?

Could you confirm if you are using Structure On-Premise (Server or Data-center) or Structure Cloud?
