How can I send a custom email via Automation Rule Action?

I know there is a standard action "Send email" in Automation Rules.

But I need to be able to send a custom email without using this standard action.

Is there a way to achieve this? a plugin I can use?

As far as I know Automation Rules do not execute Scriptrunner scripts.

Under what circumstances do you need to send a custom email? What is the reason you can't use automation for Jira?

   They have email Post function which can be added in workflow

   They have Send Manual Emails with a click and more feature.
