How do I create the drop down list for my custom components field?

I want to have a drop down list of 4 items to select when filling in the "Components" field.  Where do I enter the 4 options for them to select?

Ok, I need to be careful here because of "Jira Speak".   Jira has a very specific meaning for the word "component".

To clarify, do you mean

• Jira's Component field
• A custom field you have added and called "component" (I'd suggest you pick a slightly different name to avoid confusion)

If it's the Jira component field, then log in as a project admin and go to project -> components where you can add options.  If it's a custom field, then log in as a Jira Admin and go to the custom field list -> your components field -> configure.
