Hi, this doesn't seem to be addressed in the JIRA 5.0 upgrade notes, but how is a JIRA 4.X unlimited license treated in JIRA 5.0's new user licensing scheme?
Does it convert into a 500 user license or a 10,000+ one?
Hi David,
I think the answer is you stay as an unlimited user license for up to 2 years, but you don't get the extra Enterprise services such as 24/7 support, Atlassian University, etc. See http://www.atlassian.com/licensing/enterprise-faq#jiraenterpriselicensing-3 for details.
Andrew.
what about open source/NFPs? Our NFP license expires in October 2012. Do we have to update that, or apply for a one, and would that be for V 5 or 4?

Hi,
I'm not sure how license renewals for open source/NFPs worked in the past and can't find anything specific on the Atlassian website so you're probably better off contacting sales@atlassian.com for the details on that one.

I have left 2 voice mails and opened 2 support tickets and have not received a contact from atlassian.
