How to assign an issue based on the day of the week

Hello,

Issues need to be assigned to different agents based on the day of the week. I've tried this: 

 

But the issues remain unassigned. How can I solve this?

What is your need? Based on screenshot JQL is wrong (too much ANDs). IMHO it should be created>= and created <= OR created>= and created <=

There's two methods of doing this I can think of:

• IF/ELSE: Use IF/ELSE conditions to check the day of the week, and assign it accordingly
• Lookup Table: Set the day of the week into a custom short-text field, then use that in a Lookup Table to set the assignee

^ A few questions to confirm the best approach:

• Could you create an additional custom field?
• Is it a different person every day? If no, can you provide us the different day combinations?
• Is it only one user the ticket could be assigned to per day, or multiple?
