How to edit the locked Epic Link title?

We have done some customization in the past,  to rename out-of-the-box Jira Epics as Features. 

Now, we want to get back to Out of the box Epics. I see renaming the issue type back to Epic is easy, but how do I edit the Feature Link (the locked custom field) back to Epic Link.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm assuming you did the change in the database? I think your best bet is doing it in the database again.
