How to limit only to created groups in custom group field

Created custom group filed to assign tickets to team

When SD team trying to choose teh groups it is showing all AD groups

The SD team must see only groups which are being permitted by admin

How to achieve  the above please reply

As far as I know, filtered group picker is not an out-of-box feature in Jira yet, even though filtered user picker comes with Jira 8.4 (AFAIK)

There is a known issue which was created in 2016 and still in Gathering Interest status. You can watch/vote the issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-61856

However, if you're free to use an app, Enhancer App comes with Filterable Group picker custom field. There might be other solutions out there, I'm one of the guys (product owner) in Snapbytes which is the vendor of the app.
