How to make child field required in Cascading Select ?

On Jira Server

The Cascading Select custom field consists of two drop-down lists. I want to set both parent and child option must be set in 'required' mode. any workaround solution for making the 2nd drop down required. Is there any plugin or a way we can validate and enforce this rule?

As per the request, its not supported out of the box
