How to manage multiple companies under a parent company in JIRA ?

Sanoop M S May 28, 2018

Hi,
I have few sub companies(abc Inc, def Inc , etc... ) under my XYZ Inc parent company, Is it possible to add these sub-companies under my parent company in JIRA ? , so that the parent company can manage all the software projects of sub companies and these sub-companies have their own dashboard and can manage their own projects only....

@Sanoop M SOf-course  is  all  about  permission in JIRA and your  JIRA configuration.

Just create application access  groups for Company (a, b, c ... ) add  groups  to application access permission.

Configure your  global  permission to  limit what  groups can do.

finally  add user to  distinct projects(You can give project admin, and other  roles )

set your permission in permission schemes for project  or issue security if you wish thats all.

When  users  login to  your instance they  will  have access to  projects  and data which  they are suppose to  have.

Best!

Hi

@Moses Thomas Thanks for the Response. I'm still confused on the solution you have provided, Please check the image attached below, it says my requirement very clearly!

The parent company is my company, I want to manage my company's projects, sub-company and their projects,  the sub-companies can have their own sub companies and projects

Sub comp1 means sub company1

Sub comp2 means sub company2

Prj1 means Project1

Prj2 means Project2

Please check the image attached for a better understanding!
