A email notification should be sent to the team 24 hours before the expiration date. Please note expiration date field is a custom date picker field. When a custom date is selected, from the time the date is selected before it expires within 24 hours, a email notification should be sent to the team. How can we achieve this using automation rule? Is there any othe option in cloud environment ?
Take a look at this video tutorial that uses Jira automation. Instead of ticket due you will use expiration date and then you can adjust the jql as well.

Hi, @John Antony A
If you need such solution for Cloud environment, I could recommend you to use SLA plugins where you can set sending such notifications. One of such plugins is SLA Time and Report for Jira.
So, to do this, add Custom Fields with the date when you want to the reminder to be sent and label with the status (you can do this in the Project Settings).
For example, if the due date is July 30 and you want the reminders to be sent on July 29. So, add custom fields "Time Stamp" and "Label" and name them according to your needs:
After that, select necessary date and time for your custom field (when you want to receive notifications) in the Issue:
Next, go to the SLA Manager, configure it and set the conditions you need
Note: choose the SLA goal type “Negotiated date” when creating an SLA configuration.
And choose when the reminders must be sent and who will get them (you can choose the whole team, just add them to a group and choose a group, or each team member separately):
Note: pau attention to the "Custom field" section, it should be green with a tick. To do this, choose what you need when you click this button:
That's all! After these actions, your team will get notifications 24 hours (1 day) before the deadline (due date).
If you need help with settings or have any questions, just let me know!
Also, this add-on was created by my team, so we’d like to offer you a free demo call with our team where we will show you how to work with SLA Time and Report for Jira add-on.
Have an great day!

Olha
