Hi there,

Where: Outlook

What: Jira e-mail notifications

I noticed in mid-June a change in the information I can view in my e-mail notifications from any update in a Jira ticket.

In the past, if someone added a comment (or change the assignee) in the Jira ticket, I would receive an e-mail notification and I could see the comment right in my e-mail

Right now it doesn't show the added comment, instead it has a link that I have to click to open the Jira,  this was easy to manage from my email but now I have to click the link and go to the Jira ticket wasting a lot of time:Photo 2.png

Hello @mirna_resendiz ,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This change was introduced by Atlassian in 2025 as part of updates to how notification emails are formatted. They now include only a ”View comment”/“View work item” link, not the comment text itself.

You can try below:

Click the link to view the full comment inside Jira

Use HTML email format for better readability (Profile → Personal settings → Email preferences) as shown in screen shot by @Tomislav Tobijas

Add your voice on Atlassian’s feedback channels if inline comment emails are important to you

For more information you can refer below links -

It's here: 'Work' is the new collective term for all items you track in Jira

The new navigation: Coming to you in 2025

😊 Hope this helps clarify the change

Hi @mirna_resendiz ,

I believe this second email you're seeing is a 'grouped email notification'. I think there are some differences between direct notification and 'grouped' one.

You could try disabling 'Group notification emails together' via Settings > Notification settings (direct link: https://<sitename>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/personal/notifications)

I haven't played with this much, so I can't say for sure, but this might be worth testing out.

Cheers,
Tobi
