We are not renewing Jira because the company directed us to switch to Azure DevOps. The license expired on 7/20/24 but Jira is still accessible and we can create issues. Do we have to actually cancel the subscription? The license was for a set period of time and we did not renew, so I don't understand what we are cancelling. If we don't cancel, will Atlassian charge us for still having Jira, even though it is not used and we no longer have a license? The product was bought via a company PO, so there is no credit card involved. I do not want us having the risk of being charged for something we don't use and don't have a license for.
Based on my personal experience, Atlassian does not cancel the subscription on the exact day that the termination is scheduled. It always give you a little buffer in case you are having issues with the renewal. You will soon begin receiving emails from Atlassian regarding the impending loss of access to your instance and suddenly access will be restricted and later the data will be eliminate.
If you wish to expedite the process, you may consider canceling your subscription. Please refer to the following document for guidance: https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/cancel-a-subscription/
Hope this helps

Sam
