Importing CSV fields to custom Jira field

We are using an add-on that uses a custom field (Start date and End date) and was wondering if its possible when importing issues from a CSV file, to map the fields from the CSV file to this custom field? The custom field name shows up under CSV field on the map fields page but there is no option to set it to the custom field and  only the standard Jira fields.

There's no reason why you couldn't do this.  Were you having issues?  Did they get resolved?
