In Jira, Select List (multiple choice) field type behaves differently

Hello All,

We have some fields in jira with select list (multiple choice) type but I observed the select option is bit different for some fields of the same type.

for example in below screenshot I can select multiple options only if I press control or shift keys in keyboard

and below for the same "select list (multiple choice)" type but other field where I can select from drop down

Anyone have any idea why is this happening for two fields of same type but different select option behaviour?

The first screenshot looks like it's from the Edit screen, while the second looks like it's from a View screen with inline editing enabled.

In both cases, the Shift/Ctrl+click functionality works the same to select multiple values from the field.

Could you confirm both are created by Jira native plugins not by an 3rd party app? and is it from bulk issue editing?

I doubt they are the same time. There are no (as far as I know) ways to switch how multi select looks. Probably the other field is single-select or label or something similar, but not a multi-select.
