Inviting Users before Verifying Domain Help?

I'd like to understand if there is any impact to users invited prior to verifying a domain? 

Example: I've invited users from '@abc.com' to help with initial set-up but need to verify the '@abc.com' domain prior to onboarding the bulk of users?

My question: Will the invited users appear under managed accounts as they're now part of the verified domain after action the following:  verify domain?

My premonition is they will, provided they belong to that domain, while other invited users ('@xyz.com') won't be as they're not part of the domain I am verifying. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Your understanding is correct. All existing users which belong to the @[deleted].com domain will become managed.
