Problem:
When users e-mail jira, the incoming mail creates a ticket, which includes unnecessary blocks of text that can be removed.
What I'm looking for is a way to strip out those blocks of text using a plugin or automation. I was thinking that Jira Automator might be able to perform this for me after the ticket is created?
Another option would also be to strip those blocks of text before the issue is created. I have not been able to find a plugin that would do that.
Hi Pawel,
I believe you might be able to use JEMH for this. Have a look on Marketplace: Enterprise Mail Handler for Jira.
Have a look at that and let us know if you have any questions.

If you decide to try out JEMH and need help, check out its Confluence pages. If you don't find what you are looking for there, feel free to raise a support issue with us.
