Is there a way to make an integer custom field appear without a value?

We use a custom field named story points as an integer, I am trying to see if there is a way to make this field appear on the view issue even when no value is entered in the field.

The workaround with spaces in the custom field will not work here because it is an integer field.

unfortunately not. but you could consider setting the default to "0" which should make it appear.

I wouldn't think your listeners are doing anything with 0 story point values.  :-)
