Is there any limits on Jira rest api requests?

Hi there! We use Jira rest API in our application, and usually, we create or update Jira issues. Are there any limits on requests per minute etc? For example, if I need to update 500-1000 Jira issues and for that, I will need approximately to do 1000-2000 requests to Jira. Will I be able to handle this?

However, as noted in that document:

REST API rate limits are not published because the computation logic is evolving continuously to maximize reliability and performance for customers.
