Issue does not link to parent when cloned

Hi folks!

I created an automation to clone a ticket when in an specific status. This did not work so I used the Create a New feature, which worked (however, I had to add all the fields that I wanted to be added to the new ticket).

I added the link Linked Issues field but it does not link the new ticket to the original one.

Also, I had another automation to create child tickets once an specific issue type was selected but it did not work. 

Problem: It created the ticket but did not link and did not trigger the other automation so I have the following issues:

  1. Can't use the clone feature because it does not work;
  2. Can't link the new ticket to the trigger ticket and
  3. Automation to create child tickets when new ticket is created is not working.

Can anyone help?

Welcome to the community.

When you say using the clone feature doesn't work, what exactly do you mean? Is the rule not triggered? Is it triggered but it doesn't do what you expect? What does the audit log show for the rule when it executes?

For any rule that you want help with, please provide screen images showing all the steps in your rule and the details of each step.

We really can't offer any guidance on why your rule isn't working without those details.
