JEMH capture fields from emailform and create issue in JIRA populating the fields

We have a project in JIRA where an issue is created from a request submitted via an email form.

We would like the fields from the form to populate JIRA issue fields on issue creation.

Is this possible from JEMH?

Hi Dawn,

Reece from The Plugin People here (JEMH vendor). What you describe is possible via JEMH in a variety of different ways. Ultimately the solution to use will depend on the content of the email.

The first feature I would advise trying is the Regexp Field Processor which will allow you to configure regular expressions to extract text from the email body, this text can then be used to populate Jira custom fields. The documentation for the field processor can be found here: https://thepluginpeople.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/JEMH/pages/2850891/Use+Regexp+Field+Processor

If you need any configuration guidance, please contact us directly via our Jira instance: The Plugin People Support

Kind Regards,

Reece

Hi Dawn,

I took a look at JEMH's documentation and this is supported! Take a look here for examples.

Cheers,
Daniel
