JIRA-LDAP integration problem

Hi all,

We are migrating to the latest version. Now the problem is in the LDAP integration. Our current system(V 4.0) is not configuered to the LDAP. So now when had migrated the database from our current system to new one and configured to the LDAP, it somehow behaves in a different way. The groups are already maintained in the JIRA's internal directory, so all we want to do is the LDAP authentication. but when a user try's to login, he/she somehow loses the groups and gets added to the Active directory and JIRA user's group. so JIRA creates two instances of the user somehow.

You need to make sure your (old) osuser.xml is present when you do the upgrade. This will create the new directory based on the contents of osuser.xml, but more importantly it will migrate users from the internal directory to the new "delgating ldap" directory.

If you didn't do this, contact support, they probably have a workaround as I imagine many people failed to do this, it was totally non-obvious.
