JIRA SD on Azure with PostGRES service

Kevin L September 11, 2019

Trying to setup a Azure VM for the JIRA SD web/app server and connect to an Azure Postgres service.  Im at the db setup gui screen.  Put in all the info for the db.  hit test connection and it shows successful.  When I hit NEXT.. i get a 500 error.  All permissions are set on the db side.  Supposedly the port 5432 is open.

Atlassian docs say you need to configure the conf files on the db side but since its a service not seeing how i can do this.  Postgres logs seem to show this error:

2019-09-11 00:59:15 UTC-5d783fdb.db84-LOG: could not receive data from client: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I am seeing in the log info that the dbuser has successfully connected though.

Any ideas?

Hi Kevin,

I saw that you created a ticket with our support related to the same question and it was already resolved. The issue is that the disk was not mounted.

I'm sharing this information here in case other community members face the same issue.
