JSM's capability to avoid duplicate ticket creation

There is a possibility that JSM create duplicate tickets for the same same alert in a very short time if any monitoring application like Opsgenie integrated to it. Do JSM has capability to avoid duplicate ticket creation ?

I got to know that there is no option to avoid duplicate ticket creation, but there is an automation to close the duplicate tickets created.
