Jira: Printable option when viewing an issue - is the form that generates customizable?

This is what displays for printing and we want to adjust the cells so that there is not a lot of white space. For example - we would like to move the Project cell so that it is to the right of the Status cell. Is this possible?

Dear @Jason Michaud,

afaik this is controlled with template files (suffix .vm). Have a look at 

atlassian-jira/WEB-INF/classes/templates/plugins/issueviews/single-word.vm

This one is for word export but is also used for printable. You can modify this file.

Is there a way to associate the template with the issue type or customize it by project?
