Anyone have any idea when this plugin will be available for 8.10. I just upgraded my test instance and it's not available on the marketplace. I did notice that it wasnt compatible before the upgrade I needed to test some other things with 8.10. Thanks for any help.
Hi Nathan,
Thanks for checking in. Generally with the Slack integration app between minor version releases of Jira (8.9 to 8.10 as an example), the app will work even while marked as incompatible in the plugin manager. You won't be able to install it fresh from the "Find new apps" page until our team has run through the test suite and marked it as compatible for 8.10 on the Atlassian Marketplace.
But for testing purposes, you could manually download the app from its Marketplace listing page and install it from the Manage Apps page in Jira by clicking the "Upload app" link at the top-right of the app list. Once we've run through the test suite, the "Incompatible" flag will disappear from the plugin manager, or in the case that we find something that needs to be changed for the new Jira version, the plugin manager will list that an update is available.
Cheers,
Daniel
I was able to manually install this. However the plugin uninstalled during the upgrade. So am I to believe that I would have set up all of the notifications again if I went this route? Thanks

App uninstallation in Jira Server usually doesn't involve the configuration data being removed. Can you double-check if any existing configurations are still in place after the manual installation?
