We are running Jira Software 7.12. on a Server.
In administration view > Applications > Versions & licenses I see the Jira Software version and can update it with the click of a button. However I also see Jira Core (which I believe is the core which is extended by Jira Software?) and its current version. Jira Core claims to have found a newer version but I only get a "Download" button instead of an update button. Also Jira Core does not have a license key associated with it (Jira Software does).
Do I need to keep both Core and Software up to date? And if so, why is there only a Download button for Jira Core which leads me to a an installer download? Do I really have to update Jira Core manually using an installer?
