Manual mails not getting sent from the jira issue with file attachments (pdf) of size 9 MB

hi,

   I am unable to send pdf file attachments of size 9 MB through JIRA issue email feature (available in ticket screen). It is getting stuck in mail queue. But other files (xls, ppt etc of size 5 mb) are sent properly. 

  Kindly suggest reasons as to why this is happening since only that particular pdf file is not getting sent through mail.

ok thanks for the info. Although attachments size limit is set to 100 MB., files upto 5 mb only are sent. any setting to configure size limit per file?

if I attach 2 files of 4.3 mb, that too is NOT getting sent.
