Modifying gadget limit on a dashboard didn't work in JIRA 7.2

I'm using JIRA 7.2.10 server version. For increasing the gadget limit to 30 (default is 20), I have modified the jira-config.properties file and added the below line 

jira.dashboard.max.gadgets = 30

I have restarted JIRA but still I'm not able to add gadgets beyond 20. Can someone why JIRA couldn't pick the change.

you can change this value on jpm.xml file and restrat jira

We have the same issue and are planning to implement the change you outlined above @ravi teja . I'm just curious if you were able to get it working and what the issue was.  Thanks -Darren

This usually happens when people put the jira-config.properties file in the wrong place, or leave it with the wrong ownership and/or permissions.

Check that it is in jira-home, and is owned and permissioned in the same way as other files in there.
