Hi All,
We can to run JIRA as a service. We wrote a script and placed in /etc/init.d/JIRA. The owner of that file is root. But, due to company's policy, they want to remove root privileges for our accounts. Is there any way to run JIRA as a service without root privilege ?
Hi Jonnada,
There is a knowledge base article titled Setting Crowd to Run Automatically and Use an Unprivileged System User on UNIX that may help. While it's written for CROWD, I didn't see anything that looked out of place if you changed the paths to JIRA paths.
Let us know if that helps.
Cheers,
Branden
