Need to transfer issue from one project another without loosing track for end user

Swarupa Bawaskar February 8, 2024

I have to configure one central team and subsidiaries in different projects so whenever subsidiaries face trouble in resolving issues they need to transfer the issue to the central project, but for the same when I am using the move option the parent issue is getting deleted and end users loses the track on it. Please provide me a solution to it if anyone has any suggestions on it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Swarupa Bawaskar,

The recommended way of doing this would be to create a linked issue instead of moving the issue around. You have already noticed how moving an issue impacts your communication line with the end user.

Creating a linked issue creates the possibility to sync updates across both issues using automation (you can update the status of a linked issue when one of them moves into a different status, e.g, sync comments, update fields, ...). At the same time, teams can stick to their own way of working and no one loses visibility.

Hope this helps!
