I had trouble figuring out why a newly created user can't browse an existing service desk.
I have checked user, user groups, project roles, permission scheme attached to the service desk and could not figure out why the user could not browse the service desk.
Manually adding the new user to the project roles allows browsing but i do no want to do that.
Any idea what's wrong?
***Info below.
New user:
Peter
Peter is added to user group:
jira-administrators
jira-servicedesk-users
jira-system-adminstrator
Existing Project Roles:
Administrator > default member is jira-administrator
and etc.
The Service Desk Permission Scheme is:
Administer Projects > project role (administrator)
Browse Projects > project role (administrator) and (service desk team)
and etc
Hello @Koh Tze Hong
Could you provide some screenshots on the following if possible to triage your issue:
Are your service desk projects using the same permission scheme and and project roles?
Are you referencing user groups in your project roles for your service desk projects?
Thanks,
Danny

New user peter is a Jira-Administrator, which is in the Project Role: Administrator which is used by the Service Desk as [Administer Projects] and {Browse Projects].
The whole thing links up well.
I have no idea where else to check.
